The Wolgan View Campgrounds lookout site is conveniently located at Wolgan Gap with only a short 25km drive to get you into the beautiful Wolgan Valley at Newnes. The Valley Paddock site is ideal for larger group bookings – more so if you are into having bonfires (fire bans permitting) or need somewhere to sleep before exploring the area.
The property is located 20 minutes from the town of Portland where you can get all your supplies.
There is plenty to do in the area such as hiking trails, MTB + 4WD tracks, Aboriginal sites/handprints, Newnes Industrial Ruins, caving / climbing / canyoning.
With easy access to the highway, you can head out if you want to spend the day exploring the Blue Mountains or felt like going the other direction for a country drive.
Campers are expected to be as self sufficient as possible. There is no water available at the lookout site, only a fully stocked portable toilet.
Site bookings are charged per vehicle. While the lookout site only caters for one vehicle, a second might be able to setup nearby at the owners discretion. Please Note: Due to the nature of the site children are unfortunately not permitted to camp here.
Please dispose of rubbish properly and do not throw glass or cans into the fire pits.
If possible please provide the owners with a two hour arrival window upon confirmation of your booking.
Also note that there is no phone reception at the lookout site.
